Well, ok, strictly speaking the wedding is just over three weeks away at the time of writing, but we check in to the hotel three weeks from today. Since people keep asking, here’s where we’re at:

• Venue, catering, flowers, DJ, Registrar, photographer etc. – booked
• Cake ordered
• Peggy’s dress delivered
• Andy’s suit mostly sorted – trousers & waistcoat delivered, jacket still being tweaked (picking up on Monday), shoes being chosen this weekend, probably.

All that’s left is to burn the music CDs for the ceremony and general ambience, and confirm final arrangements with the hotel and florist. Oooh, and order the 16Gb memory card for the camcorder.

I’ve just been for my suit fitting at the tailor’s office and I’m well chuffed with it. They’ve just got to take in the shoulders a bit and that’ll be it – the waistcoat and trousers are spot on as they are.

Some of the earlier invitations we sent out had a fairly short timeframe for RSVPs – not to worry, we’ve still got a couple of weeks before we have to give final numbers to the hotel, so you’ve still got time!
